Cross-project file theft and deletion via ID-only lookup
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Authorization bypass in Vikunja before 2.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to download or delete attachments across projects. TaskAttachment.ReadOne() queries only the attachment ID, while CanRead() authorizes the unrelated task ID supplied in the request path. Access to any task permits cross-project downloads; write access to any task permits deletion, and sequential IDs enable enumeration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
