Authenticated code execution via unrestricted AlaSQL statements
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Code injection in n8n before 1.123.27, 2.0.0-rc.0 through 2.13.2, and 2.14.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Merge node's Combine by SQL mode passes attacker-controlled statements into an AlaSQL sandbox that fails to block file-access and code-execution primitives. Workflow creation or modification permission is required; exploitation reads host files and executes code with the n8n process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=< 1.123.27
