CVE-2026-33632

Local policy bypass via unmonitored file operations

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

Missing authorization in Craig J. Bass's ClearanceKit before 4.2.4 allows local users to read or alter protected files via unmonitored operations. The opfilter system extension omits ES_EVENT_TYPE_AUTH_EXCHANGEDATA and ES_EVENT_TYPE_AUTH_CLONE from its Endpoint Security subscriptions, so exchangedata swaps protected contents and clone copies protected data without policy evaluation. Exploitation requires a local unprivileged process and an applicable user-configured or management-deployed file policy.
