MFA secret disclosure via master-context session query
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Information exposure in Parse Server 8.6.60 and earlier and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0-alpha.54 allows remote authenticated users to read MFA secrets. The current-user handler queries the session with master-level authentication, then reuses that context for the user lookup and bypasses auth adapter sanitization. A valid session token and stored auth data are required; exposed TOTP seeds and recovery codes permit ongoing MFA code generation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
