CVE-2026-33592Network attack vector

Server interruption via unbounded discovery chunks

Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026

Resource exhaustion in open62541 1.4.0 through 1.4.16, 1.5.0 through 1.5.4, and master allows remote attackers to interrupt servers. The FindServers request path accepts unbounded serverUris strings and intermediate chunks when zero TCP limits leave message and chunk counts unrestricted. The request is accepted before session establishment without credentials or encryption, and retained chunks exhaust process memory until service stops.
