CVE-2026-33575Network attack vector

Gateway credential exposure via reusable pairing codes

Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026

Credential exposure in OpenClaw before 2026.3.12 allows attackers to recover shared gateway credentials from leaked pairing setup codes. The /pair endpoint and openclaw qr command place the configured long-lived gateway token or password directly in each setup payload instead of issuing a short-lived bootstrap secret. Access to a code retained in chat history, logs, screenshots, or copied QR data is required; the recovered credential can then authenticate outside the intended pairing flow.
