Workspace escape via trusted agent RPC parameters
Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.11 allows remote authenticated users to escape workspace boundaries through the gateway agent RPC. Gateway agent RPC handling trusts caller-supplied spawnedBy and workspaceDir values instead of enforcing the configured workspace root. An operator.write user can consequently run normal file and exec tools from any directory accessible to the Gateway process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
