Authenticated service interruption via validation-side database writes
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Miraheze TSPortal before 34 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via invalid DPA requests. The DPAAlreadyLive validation rule calls User::findOrCreate on a submitted username even when MirahezeUsernameRule rejects it, persisting a user record after the request fails. Any authenticated account can automate failing requests to drive unbounded database growth; the demonstrated consequence is storage and indexing exhaustion, not data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
