Browser script execution via unvalidated callback URL
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
DOM-based XSS in Homarr before 1.57.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted login URL. The /auth/login page passes the untrusted callbackUrl query value to redirect or router.push without rejecting javascript: URLs. Execution requires a victim to open the crafted link while authenticated or to complete a successful login, after which script runs in the Homarr origin.
