Stored XSS via unsanitized markdown link schemes
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
Stored XSS in World Wide Broadcast Network AVideo 26.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through comment links. ParsedownSafeWithLinks disables safeMode, so inlineLink converts javascript-scheme markdown into anchors without the custom raw-HTML allowlist. Any user permitted to comment can store a link, but script execution requires another user to click it and can expose or alter that viewer's session data.
