Cross-user snippet disclosure via missing ownership check
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Incorrect authorization in FileRise 2.3.7 through 3.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' file snippets. The FileController::snippet() path accepts folder-level canReadOwn access, resolves the requested file, and returns preview content without verifying the uploader. Exploitation requires read_own access to the shared folder and exposes only bounded text or supported Office-document preview content, not file modification.
