File disclosure via expired public share tokens
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Authorization bypass in Elastic Kibana 8.0.0 through 8.19.15 and 9.0.0 through 9.3.4 allows remote attackers to retrieve shared files. Kibana's public file-sharing logic accepts a time-bounded access token after its expiration timestamp instead of rejecting the request. Exploitation requires possession of a token issued for a public file share and discloses only the content associated with that token after expiration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.19.15
