CVE-2026-33434Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated event injection via overwritten rate-limit result

Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026

Rate-limit bypass in Wazuh 4.6.0 through 4.14.4 allows remote authenticated users to inject events beyond the configured global limit. CheckRateLimitsMiddleware.dispatch() overwrites the global check's error_code with the /events-specific result, discarding an exceeded global limit. An account with events:ingest permission can submit events under the separate 30-per-minute allowance after other API traffic exhausts the administrator-set limit, increasing analysisd load.
