Protected-field change disclosure via unchecked LiveQuery watch
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Information disclosure in Parse Server before 8.6.54 and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0-alpha.42 allows remote attackers to infer protected-field changes. The _handleSubscribe path accepts LiveQuery watch entries that name protectedFields, making update-event presence a binary oracle even though payload filtering removes the values. A non-master-key subscription, an enabled LiveQuery class with protected fields, and a subsequent field change are required; no user interaction occurs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
