CVE-2026-33419Network attack vector

LDAP credential theft via enumeration and unlimited guessing

Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026

Credential brute-forcing in MinIO AIStor before RELEASE.2026-03-17T21-25-16Z allows remote attackers to obtain temporary STS credentials. The AssumeRoleWithLDAPIdentity endpoint reveals valid LDAP usernames through distinguishable errors and imposes no limit on password attempts. Exploitation requires LDAP integration and a guessed valid password, after which the credentials grant the victim user's S3 access.
