CVE-2026-33404Public exploit

Stored XSS via unescaped client identifiers

Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026

Stored XSS in Pi-hole Web Interface 6.0 through 6.4.1 allows local users to execute script in an administrator's browser. Network page code passes FTL-sourced IP addresses and hostnames to jQuery .html(), while Dashboard tooltips concatenate hostnames into innerHTML. Exploitation requires filesystem access to the FTL database or DHCP lease file because normal DHCP and DNS paths reject HTML characters; viewing either affected page triggers the stored payload.
