Browser script execution via unneutralized group metadata
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Sakai 23.0 through 23.4 and 25.0 through 25.1 allows remote attackers to run scripts in users' browsers. The site-manage group path stores script-bearing titles and descriptions in SAKAI_SITE_GROUP and later renders them without neutralizing executable content. Exploitation requires a victim to view affected group metadata; the script can read or modify data available to that user's Sakai browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
