Credential interception via unvalidated Smart Polling connections
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Improper remote-host validation in Nozomi Networks Guardian, CMC, and Arc allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept credentials. Smart Polling creates encrypted sessions to polled devices without validating certificate or host-key identity, and affected releases provide no setting to enable that validation. An attacker positioned between the sensor and device can impersonate the device, capture reusable credentials, then access, alter, or disrupt devices that accept them.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
