Authenticated server crash via negative macro interval
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in affected Grafana OSS releases allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. The SQL data-source macro accepts a negative grouping interval without validation, causing memory use to grow until out-of-memory termination. A low-privileged account and configured SQL data source are required; exploitation can take about 30 minutes, and automatic restart limits disruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
