Viewer-triggered container crash via MSSQL restriction bypass
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Denial of service in Grafana OSS allows remote authenticated users to crash the host container through the MSSQL data source plugin. The plugin's undisclosed logic flaw lets Viewer-role requests bypass API restrictions and allocate memory until the process exhausts available capacity. Viewer access and a configured MSSQL data source are required; successful exploitation interrupts availability by terminating the container.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
