Data access via shared hardcoded client keys
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Hard-coded cryptographic keys in Meari IoT SDK firmID=8 allow remote attackers to forge API requests and access protected data. BuildConfig.smali, SdkConstants.smali, MeariIotManager.smali, and PPStrongManager.smali embed shared HMAC, DES, OpenAPI, and P2P secrets in client binaries. The keys can be recovered from any affected Android app and replayed across brands and tenants to sign API calls or authenticate P2P video sessions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
