Cross-tenant telemetry disclosure via wildcard subscription
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Authorization bypass in Meari IoT Cloud MQTT Broker EMQX 4.x allows remote authenticated users to read other devices' telemetry. The broker accepts the global meari/# subscription topic from low-privilege accounts without applying a per-device subscribe ACL to isolate tenants. A normal cloud account can continuously receive platform-wide motion alerts, device identifiers, account data, and camera-artifact links.
