Private repository disclosure via unchecked import source
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Charmbracelet Soft Serve 0.6.0 through 0.11.5 allows remote authenticated users to read private repositories. The repo import flow authorizes only the attacker-chosen destination name, then passes a user-controlled REMOTE to git.Clone without rejecting a server-local filesystem path. SSH must be enabled, and any low-privilege account on a multi-user instance can duplicate another user's local bare repository into a new repository it owns.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
