Database compromise via backslash-escape SQL injection
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
SQL injection in World Wide Broadcast Network AVideo before 26.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data without authentication. The getAllCategories method concatenates doNotShowCats array values into a MySQL query after removing only single quotes, so a backslash escapes an inserted quote and shifts the SQL string boundary. The public categories endpoint requires no account, and successful exploitation exposes stored credentials and other database records to disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
