Authenticated file write and deletion via path traversal
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Path traversal in FileRise 1.0.1 through 3.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to write or delete server files via chunked uploads. UploadModel::handleUpload concatenates the unsanitized resumableIdentifier into temporary chunk paths, then writes chunks or recursively removes that path. Upload permission is required; crafted GET requests can also disclose limited file or directory existence without modifying data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
