Username enumeration via distinct resend redirects
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Observable response discrepancy in Parse Server before 8.6.51 and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0-alpha.39 allows remote attackers to enumerate valid usernames. PagesRouter and the legacy PublicAPI resend route returned success for existing unverified users but a distinct failure redirect for unknown users because they ignored the default emailVerifySuccessOnInvalidEmail option. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires an exposed resend route and candidate usernames; disclosure is limited to account existence and unverified-email state.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
