CVE-2026-33322Network attack vector

Administrative access via OIDC JWT algorithm confusion

Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026

Improper authentication in affected MinIO releases allows remote attackers with the OIDC ClientSecret to obtain consoleAdmin access. The OIDC authentication path accepts attacker-signed JWTs made with the shared client secret, allowing token claims to select any identity and policy. OIDC must be configured and the attacker must know the ClientSecret; exploitation enables reading, modifying, or deleting stored data.
