Internal service access via unvalidated query preview URL
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
SSRF in Budibase 3.30.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access internal services through the query preview API. The preview() handler in packages/server/src/api/controllers/query.ts passes fields.path directly to node-fetch without validating the destination. Admin or builder access and a REST datasource are required; reachable metadata services can expose cloud tokens, while arbitrary internal requests enable network enumeration.
