Arbitrary local file read via unchecked CDN paths
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Path traversal in Weblate before 5.17 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary local files through the JavaScript CDN add-on. The cdn_parse_html task joined configured relative paths to component.full_path and read them without validating that resolution stayed inside the repository. Exploitation requires low-privileged access, user interaction, and the disabled-by-default CDN add-on; impact is limited to file disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
