Authenticated task-log disclosure via missing scope check
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Improper access control in Weblate before 5.17 allows remote authenticated users to read pending-task logs through the tasks API. The get_task path in weblate/api/views.py treated a pending Celery result as lacking component context, so the component access check did not run before task data was returned. Exploitation requires guessing a live task's random UUID, and default API rate limits make repeated guesses impractical.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
