Cross-site scripting via blank attribute names

Cross-site scripting in Rails Action View before 7.2.3.1 and affected 8.0 and 8.1 releases allows remote attackers to run browser script. The tag_options method passes blank top-level, data, and aria keys to xml_name_escape, which returns an empty attribute name and leaves a crafted value to be reparsed as another attribute. The application must accept user-defined HTML attributes, and exploitation requires a browser to render the malformed tag.
