Authenticated request-handler crash via URL parameter injection
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
URL parameter injection in Tandoor Recipes before 2.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash the FDC search request handler. FdcSearchView.get() interpolates query into a USDA API URL without URL-encoding, causing ampersands to become additional upstream parameters. Low privileges are sufficient, and malformed injected parameters produce an HTTP 500 while other injected parameters alter USDA query behavior.
