Authenticated file write via unvalidated WebDAV filenames
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in error311 FileRise before 3.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to write dangerous files through WebDAV. The WebDAV createFile() and put() methods use client-supplied filenames without applying the REGEX_FILE_NAME policy enforced by the regular upload path. Default Docker Apache rules block direct execution, while nginx or weakened Apache deployments execute uploaded PHP files as remote code.
