Share-link denial of service via unauthenticated deletion
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Missing authentication in FileRise before 3.8.0 allows remote attackers to delete file share links through an unauthenticated HTTP request. The POST /api/file/deleteShareLink.php route invokes FileController::deleteShareLink(), which accepts a supplied token and deletes its entry without authentication, authorization, or CSRF validation. Exploitation requires a valid 32-character share token and destroys access through that link without deleting the underlying shared file.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
