CVE-2026-33062Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Discovery service crash via unchecked split indices

Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026

Improper input validation in free5GC NRF before 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to crash the discovery service via a crafted HTTP GET request. EncodeGroupId splits each group-id-list value and indexes elements 0, 1, and 2 without first checking the resulting slice length. Any network path to the NRF discovery API exposes the unauthenticated trigger, and a malformed value panics the NRF process, interrupting discovery until the service restarts.
