Account takeover via reflected credentialed CORS
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Session hijacking in WWBN AVideo before 26.0 allows remote attackers to take over logged-in accounts through a malicious webpage. The /objects/phpsessionid.json.php endpoint returns the current PHP session ID, while allowOrigin() reflects an arbitrary Origin and permits credentials. A logged-in victim must visit attacker-controlled content; the stolen session lets the attacker impersonate that victim, including an administrator.
