CVE-2026-33012Network attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded error-response cache

Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Micronaut Core 4.7.0 through 4.10.16 allows remote attackers to crash applications through HTML error handling. DefaultHtmlErrorResponseBodyProvider stores rendered pages in an unbounded ConcurrentHashMap keyed by error content, so unique attacker-influenced exception messages remain on the heap. An application must expose HTML error responses and include attacker-controlled data in repeated exception messages; sustained requests then end in OutOfMemoryError and process interruption.
