Authorization bypass via mutable Zalouser group names
Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026
Weak authorization in OpenClaw before 2026.3.12 allows remote attackers to route unintended Zalouser group messages to the agent. The Zalouser allowlist compares attacker-controlled display names and normalized slugs against channels.zalouser.groups instead of requiring stable group IDs. Exploitation requires name-based group entries and a permissive sender allowlist; a duplicate-name group can then reach the agent.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
