Arbitrary command execution via crafted VCS fragment

OS command injection in sbt 0.9.5 through 1.12.6 on Windows allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a VCS URI. The source-dependency resolver passes an unvalidated branch, tag, or revision fragment to git, hg, or svn through cmd /c, which treats shell metacharacters as command separators. Exploitation requires control of a dependency URI in a build definition and active execution by a Windows user; injected commands run with that user's privileges.
