Application crash via unbounded recursive mapping

Uncontrolled recursion in Lucky Penny Software AutoMapper before 15.1.1 and 16.0.0 through 16.1.0 allows remote attackers to crash applications. The core mapping engine follows self-referential or cyclic type paths without a default MaxDepth, exhausting the .NET thread stack until StackOverflowException terminates the process. Reachability requires an application to pass an attacker-controlled deeply nested object graph into an affected mapping path; the bounded consequence is an application-process crash.
