Authenticated code execution via MIME-only sound upload
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.38 and 2.0.0-RC.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. Exercise::updateSound() trusts the client-supplied multipart Content-Type, preserves the original .php filename, and moves the file into a web-accessible audio directory. Teacher privileges are required; a crafted audio upload yields command execution as the web server user and permits server data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
