CVE-2026-3293Public exploit

Local denial of service via unsafe proxy regex

Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026

Regular expression denial of service in Snowflake JDBC Driver 4.0.0 through 4.0.1 allows local users to exhaust CPU via a crafted JDBC URL. SdkProxyRoutePlanner passes nonProxyHosts entries to String.matches as Java regular expressions without escaping metacharacters, enabling catastrophic backtracking. Exploitation requires an application to accept an attacker-controlled JDBC URL; connection initialization can hang while exhausting a CPU core.
