Privilege escalation in OpenClaw before 2026.3.11 allows remote authenticated users to obtain administrative device tokens. The device.token.rotate method validates requested scopes against the paired device but fails to restrict them to the caller’s existing scopes. Operator.pairing access is sufficient to mint an operator.admin token, enabling gateway administration and, on nodes exposing system.run, remote code execution.
