Code execution via untrusted workspace plugin autoload
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Code execution in OpenClaw before 2026.3.12 allows attackers to run workspace plugin code from a crafted cloned repository. The plugin discovery path automatically loads executable code from .openclaw/extensions/ in the current workspace without an explicit trust or installation decision. Execution requires a user to run OpenClaw from the untrusted repository, after which the plugin runs with the user's account privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
