Authenticated session reset via reused admin logic
Published Mar 29, 2026 · Updated Mar 29, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.11 allows local users with write scope to reset targeted conversation state. The agent RPC checks only its outer operator.write scope, then routes /new and /reset slash commands into session-reset mutation reserved for operator.admin. Access to an authenticated Gateway with operator.write is required; the result is unauthorized loss of targeted conversation state without reported confidentiality impact.
