Authenticated path traversal via saveMetadata
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Path traversal in PublicCMS 6.202506.d allows remote authenticated users to escape intended storage paths during template-cache generation. TemplateCacheComponent.saveMetadata accepts a manipulated pathname without enforcing containment beneath the template-cache directory; published sources do not disclose the parameter or filesystem API. Low-privileged access and no user interaction are required, while the reachable files and exact read, write, or service impact remain undisclosed.
