Authenticated SQL injection via unparameterized item search
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
SQL injection in Open Source Point of Sale 3.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL queries. The Items search path in app/Models/Item.php interpolates the search GET parameter directly into a HAVING clause when the search_custom filter is enabled. Basic item-search permission is sufficient; crafted queries can read or modify database data or interrupt the database service.
