Service crash or hang via indent arithmetic
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Denial of service in UltraJSON 5.1.0 through 5.11.0 allows remote attackers to crash or hang services via crafted indent values. The encoder multiplies indent by nesting depth using insufficient integer widths, underestimating buffer space or underflowing the buffer-growth target. Exposure requires an application to pass attacker-controlled indentation, or a fixed negative indent, to dump, dumps, or encode on nested data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
