SSRF via unencoded OpenAPI path parameters
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
SSRF in FastMCP before 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to access arbitrary backend endpoints through crafted OpenAPI path parameters. RequestDirector._build_url() substitutes path values without encoding before urljoin() normalizes traversal sequences outside the intended API prefix. Reachability requires an OpenAPIProvider route with attacker-controlled path parameters; resulting requests carry the provider's configured authorization headers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
