Code execution via crafted VI out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in NI LabVIEW 26.1.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted VI file. The sentry_transaction_context_set_operation() routine reads beyond an allocated buffer while LabVIEW loads malformed VI content, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can disclose process data or execute attacker-controlled code in that user's LabVIEW context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
